This is a link to very interesting set of image, these images distort the world map, this is interesting because the outcomes produce shapes that look like familiar objects, such as body parts, vegetables etc. The colours also use contribute to the recognition of the object and give the map a extension in meaning; maybe I could apply these distortion and colouring techniques to my own self-portrait so that I can make areas of my body resemble or look familiar to the makeup of my identity.
