Another artist that stands out to me and that I also based some of my prep portraits on, is chuck close, I think that chuck has a very interesting style of portraying his identity. The way that he distorts and manipulates the images to create his pieces enables a sort of journey/pattern to show through his self- portraiture, analysing and arguing his work will be a very interesting topic to undertake in my essay, as there is so many views and opinions that can be applied to his work, although I was looking at studying Tabor Kalman I am considering chucks work, as I have previously engaged in it and found it easier to locate the recourses necessary.
