Wow Metropolis, the ancestor of Science fictional films, to be honest with you I do not really know or understand how this film was created without CGI, the people responsible for creating the props and organising all the cast and animals for the film must have been geniuses because everything is edited into the film perfectly and looks totally realistic. Apart from the black and white picture the futuristic feel within the film is just as effective as any special effects movie today. What also amazed me was the exploration of camera angles used, there was one particular shot that was used to emphasis the representation of the city collapsing, which I thought was very creative, there was also a shot in the film, which showed the city from afar with various transportation moving along the screen, which I thought was executed perfectly baring in mind there were not actually any cars or aeroplanes flying across the screen.
