Whilst searching on ‘www.luhringaugustine.com’ I came across Gregory Crewdsons images, which had a mysterious ambience within them, making the images appear surreal. These paintings that Gregory Crewdson has made have been caught in a mid- action, which not only gives the images life, but enables them to tell a story effectively. Gregory Crewdson applies clues within his work, which projects the story being told in a greater detail. Using objects or inflictions made by objects to shown direction or progression within his images. The way that his paintings are lit contribute to the uncanny feel within his work; there are major light sources within his images, which decreases as the image progresses creating generosity and superstition within the image.
